The bartender was typical of Berlin: not unfriendly, moderately hospitable, and very direct. If you stay (and drink) long enough, it becomes almost charming. The beer in the blazing sun was surprisingly good, probably because thirst overcame the sour aftertaste. Inside, everything was a random mix, cozy like a shared apartment. Outside, all the chairs stare out at the street, as if waiting for the beer baron. Price per person: €1–10 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

It's small but didn't have any trouble finding tables in both occasions we were there. Staff is great. Smoking place, not too smelly or smoky though. They have lot's of house made liqueur and brandies. But didn't try them.

Still can taste the Hazelnut Schnapps I would definitely recommend this bar to everyone visiting Berlin.

Ordered a double whiskey and made my way to the back of the bar to chat with some locals I made friends with. Finished my whiskey and put it down on a table. As I was putting the whiskey down the bartender came back to the back to ask us for more alcohol to which I denied. Just some time to digest the whiskey I just inhaled. He then kicked us out for not ordering enough. Odd.
