The young staff were wonderfully friendly and attentive, and the food was good and reasonably priced, although the drinks were a bit more expensive. The atmosphere was wonderful. The visit was the highlight of our trip to Berlin. My ancestors were already going there in the 1920s.

You can feel the weight... read more Spiegelsaal is one of my favorite places in the world. If you go on a Tuesday night for “Tango Night,” it’s like stepping back in time. You can feel the weight of history within the room. The place is lit by candles. Authentic, classical tango music plays. You can hear the whispers of feet sweeping across the wooden floor. It is a stunning and intimate affair.
