Berlin is not known for authentic Indian cuisine, and this place was not an exception. the chicken was boiled to inconceivable, and after cooking was dropped into a sweet and otherwise tasteless curry. what the ..? the yellow daal (lens) was sweet! the only rescue was the palak paneer, which contained real hut cheese and was slightly spiced and not sweetened. when you grow up, the Germans are more than willing to taste discreetly seasoned food, especially when they eat in an Indian restaurant.
After chai ji has been cooking for homeless and needy people a few times in the month, we have visited the team once in their restaurant by the berliner homeless help e.V. the food was - as we already knew;) excellent. for our guests is always super tasty cooked and also the restaurant has convinced us: very nice staff and beautiful ambiente. really recommend!
Were very disappointed. at the beginning of the year it was for me one of the top Indians in berlin. Today, on the other hand, average eating in tiny portions (see photo: bowl main dish in comparison to small beer glass) was to be raised. the amount of the main dishes is about half as large as before. two dishes share a small salad. on the menu is: for each main dish there is an salate, but fits with the saving measures. a point for the ambiente and one for the friendly service - nevertheless I cannot recommend it!
I always enjoy eating here. The best korma and naan in Berlin. Just thinking about it makes me hungry. Whether I take it out or eat in, the food tastes wonderful. The owners are so friendly and personable, I highly recommend the restaurant
