Wir sind zunächst dran vorbei gelaufe... read more Wir sind in einem Hotel in der Nähe untergebracht gewesen und sind über Trip Advisor auf das Caligari aufmerksam geworden. Wir sind zunächst dran vorbei gelaufen so unscheinbar ist das Restaurant.Wir wurden von dem Betreiber wärmstens empfangen und haben zusammen mit unserer 1-jährigen Tochter an einem kleinen Tisch Platz genommen. Der Service war erfrischend freundlich italienisch authentisch warm! ;-) Unsere Tochter wurde bespaßt, war keine Last.Die Einrichtung ist einfach, aber abgestimmt, aber nicht minder stimmungsvoll. Hier hat man mit viel Liebe zum Detail und Herz etwas tolles geschaffen.Das Essen war ebenfalls ausgezeichnet. Die Karte ist überschaubar, aber mit tollen abwechslungsreichen Gerichten gefüllt. Trotz der kleinen Auswahl fiel diese trotzdem schwer, lecker wie alles klang. Wir haben uns für ein Risotto mit schwarzen Trüffeln und Bigoni mit Seeteufel, Zucchini und Tintenfischtinte entschieden. Traumhaft lecker!Ein Knaller war auch die Bierauswahl. Ich musste nachfragen, ob ich ihn richtig verstanden hatte: Rothaus und/oder Augustiner hell. Zwei süddeutsche (äußerst leckerer) Biere in Berlin. Auf Nachfrage erklärte mir der Besitzer, dass er diese Biere einfach lecker findet und das nicht jeder in Berlin hat. Ich fand es toll! Und dann fügte er noch hinzu, dass er eh mehr Ahnung von Wein habe... :-DUnd der abschließende Grappa war ebenfalls saulecker. Wir sind um eine kulinarische Erfahrung bereichert, satt und zufrieden ins Hotel zurück"gerollt". Muss man unbedingt hin...

Although there was no english menu, the waiter was very nice at translating it to us. All the suggesting were great including the wine. The food was very good and tasteful, desserts could have been better.It is often busy and it is not the kind of place you order and will get your food in 10 minutes. Go with patience and enjoy.

I came here with my partner to celebrate his new job and was super worried not to find any open restaurant on a Monday, I found this one not very far and I’m so... read more I came here with my partner to celebrate his new job and was super worried not to find any open restaurant on a Monday, I found this one not very far and I’m so glad I did!! We both loved EVERYTHING we ate here! We got two antipastis (one perfectly cooked beef with pesto and the second one was shrimps with 2 sauces that were incredibly tasty) for main course we had a vegetarian Lasagna and a pasta with cheese and Ragout! We had 2 desserts at the end that I can’t remember, they are the unusual stuff you find at Italian restaurants but OMG WE LOVEEEEEED IT! They also have a very nice wine selection! I totally recommend this spot! Ps: all the staff are super nice and welcoming
