I had read up about Cafe Stader before starting a day holiday in Berlin in my home town of Liverpool and couldn't wait to visit here and I was not disappointed in any way about our visit. Walking in and I knew I would...enjoy my visit here, sparsely decorated throughout this multi roomed bar,a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar, it's a cosy low lit dive bar ,the type of bars I love to visit. My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a roasting hot Wednesday afternoon, we got a really good Bavarian beer in here called schronramer beer, this beer was served in excellent condition, we got a nice table and just kicked back and chilled out and took in the great bar we were in. The beer was outstandingly tasty, a hoppy, malty and well balanced beer bursting with taste and very easy to drink and a beer style I really enjoyed. We really enjoyed our beers in here and the great atmosphere so much so that we ended up staying for another beer each before we moved on and for a first time visit we were very impressed with this great bar. Cafe Stadler is easy to locate on Boxhagener Straße in an area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants. A great bar and one I highly recommend you visit if your in the area.
We actually had a great time at the cafe, with lovely jazz music. Two of the party had left earlier than the rest of us, but when we left, the bartender told us that one of them had forgotten to pay for his beer. I...thought it was strange, cause I believed that I saw my friend paying by the bar, but I trusted the bartender, and payed him what I thought was owed. When I got home, I learned that my friend actually had payed his tap. I do not know whether this was intended preying upon tourists who perhaps would never return anyway, or merely a misunderstanding, but either way it ruined my experience of the bar, and I did not feel like going to the same place the next night, when it was suggested.
We really had a great time in caffe with beautiful jazz music. two of the group had gone earlier than the rest of us, but when we went, the bartender told us that one of them had forgotten to pay his beer. I found it strange because I believed to see my friend pay in cash, but I trusted the bartender and paid him what I thought was due. When I came home, I learned that my friend had actually paid his zapfhahn. I don't know if this was intended to exploit tourists who would never come back anyway, or just misunderstanding, but so or so ruined my experience with the bar, and I had no pleasure to go to the same place next night if it was suggested.

The cafe stadler serves a large selection of beers in bottles and from the barrel. this bar is not a jewel in terms of beauty, but makes this more than match with its friendly staff and owner, the inviting and integrative neighboring atmosphere and the spontaneous piano performances.
