My son I were staying at the Gold Palais hotel just across the busy street and the hotel reception recommended the Cafe Melon for breakfasts. We went there twice and were happy both times. You order at the counter inside and then you can take your food and drink out to sit at one of the bistrot type tables on the pavement. We were looking for an alternative to the rather overpriced hotel breakfast, and found this gem. Several nice breakfast variations and very good service. Highly recommended!

Went for breakfast with friends and we all left happy. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing breakfast.
We have eaten here for 5 mornings. Excellent coffee, good juice, great Bircher muesli, tasty German breakfast and excellent, friendly staff. Highly recommended.
My wife and I ate breakfast there today. The quality of the food was Spitzen. I had the Birchen granola und orangensaft. The service was well above normal level. Danke schön!
