We had food, it was served in a decent time, but the taste was bad... The cooks might get a course on how to use spices...
Very convenient between rehearsals (or concert intervals) and fairly priced. Big variety of things and snacks to buy.
We had done an early evening boat trip and ended up walking down the Friedrichstrasse looking for somewhere for a light bite to eat having had a good lunch.Friedrichstrasse was full of designer shops , but had no restaurants or cafes of the kind we wanted , suddenly we found a turning into the Gendarmemarkt which is a delightful pedestrian plaza with some fine buildings and eating places, We chose the cafe konzerthais m There was an expensive looking place called the Refugium but opposite it was cafe Konzerthaus which we chose, My husband chose a wurstsalat which had strips of liver sausage served with a very tasty salad and I had a herring baguette, a filling I have never come across before which was equally tasty, I had fiizzy applejuice and he had a beer and we both had apfelstrudel which we had been wanting to try since we arrived in Berlin three days earlier . This was the genuine article, lots of apple and nice light pastry, I decided to forego the cream and just had it with ice cream.
We entered this café after we walked out the beautiful plaza. The concert had just started, so we had the café for ourselves. It was calm and...
