When I came from India, I and my friend chose this restaurant with the good reviews. During the order I mentioned less spices. When I mentioned this, the waitress made fun of it by asking, "Where do you come from? "When I replied to India, she laughed and said, 'Indians eat spicy food!'. Then I had to explain that it was due to my health. We ordered chicken biriyani and lamb curry. After tasting, we were totally disappointed. The meat in both was cooked half. The taste in biriyani was terrible. It was obvious that a kind of paste was mixed with rice and named Biriyani. Although we talked about my health, oil floats in food. I wouldn't recommend this place.
Food is delicious. Quality of food is good (not large). The location of the restaurant is very good. The ambience is good. The staff is friendly and friendly. Compared to the price of food, I would recommend it.
My wife likes Indian food very and during our visit to Berlin we found this Indian restaurant not far from Ku Damm. The menu looked promising, so we decide to check it. We are usually vegetarian, so we went for the homemade fresh cheese with spinach and fresh cheese in a medium hot curry sauce. Note that the medium was hot was quite hot but very tasty. We ate it with a bhatura (fried bread and enjoyed not only the meal, also the staff was very nice. We have an appetizer and a drink after meal for free : . The portions are really big, we left the restaurant with a good feeling and if we are back in Berlin we will surely go back there. I forgot the price: about 9 euros per record good value.
We ate there three dinners. The food is very delicious. The quality of food is really good. Prices correspond to quality. I wish we had this restaurant next to our house. There are many possibilities for vegetarians. We saw locals and Indians eating three.
What a perfect combo! Good food, exotic location, lovely ambience, great service and still fits in a budget! I ate vegetarian there and it was as good as anywhere else, if not better. I also ate at their rival Singapuri restaurants, but there vegetarian was always inferior. However, what sets Amma really apart from everyone else is the really hospitable and warm staff, especially a guy from Haryana who waits at Amma Brandenburgische str.. He ensures that customers leave with a good feel. They also give delicious complimentary appetizers, sauces and juice which is way superior to elsewhere. Once when I was there, I told my waiter (the dude from Haryana) to pack the leftovers. Due to some rare confusion the leftovers were thrown away. Without letting me know, he got a full fresh meal prepared and gave it to me for free. I was so moved that whenever I have to take friends out for Indian food...my only choice now is Amma! P.S. the prices are the best you'll get anywhere in Berlin
