The menu was greatly reduced, and previously popular dishes were no longer available. I ordered two 0.2 liter apple spritzers (not on the menu), but instead 0.33 liter apple juice for €3.20. I received two 0.3 liter glasses diluted with mineral water. The restaurant has been an institution on... read more After a very long closure due to renovations to the building's facade, Ali Baba has finally reopened in mid-July 2025. The restaurant has been an institution on Bleibtreustrasse since 1972 and is probably the oldest and thus the last from the old West Berlin era. The interior seems to have remained unchanged and is probably from the aforementioned era. Simple and cozy. There are tables and benches outside on the street. It's very nice to sit there on warm days and watch the off-Kudamm scene. The service staff seems to be completely new. Very friendly and attentive. And most importantly... the pizza is just as delicious and well-topped as we've known it for decades. A real treat. Oh yes, and the small pizza from the tray for €2.50 is also available again. See you again soon.
