I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews. Great food and nice staff. Was hesitant when considering the reviews, but was very pleasantly surprised. (Ordered the combo platter) View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Halal Guys:
Gyros are meant to be good. An easy combination of healthy stuff. These gyros were the most mediocre I have had in my life. Instead of yogurt, whitened soybean oil. No spices or mint. Just old flat pale iceberg lettuce a bit of onion and tomato. Lots of dry chicken and they were big. May make a hungry football player half happy. Whoever crafted these for us had little interest in pleasing us with flavor. My impressio... View all feedback.
I love halal food! Decent meal here chicken is meh but beef is pretty good. The first time we ordered they forgot the sauce rip. There's a guy one get one free deal on uber eats that you should definitely use but I prefer philly location's food quality more
I 'd like to start out to say that I was excited when I found out there was a Halal guys in Berkeley which is pretty close to where I live. First off I ordered extra pita with my family meal but didn 't get it. Disappointed, I tried e mailing corporate with no response whatsoever. Second, the couple slices of pita that came with the meal tasted borderline stale. The beef in my meal was tasty but super dry like warm beef jerky. I am SOO disappointed in this place. Do these guys even have quality control or customer support for their franchises? BLEAH! Avoid since there are so many other great mediterranean options within a few blocks of this place.
The food is really good here I come here all the time I don't seem to understand why there are so many negative reviews on this place I just think it's in the wrong area college kids just like junk food ??
Late night munchies. This food was really flavorful and tasty. Portion is decent and add more pita plz
Perfect location when you're staying at the new Marriott Residence Inn. It is literally across the street. Two really friendly folks were working that night and were just full of laughs. I can't remember what the heck we were laughing at in a Halal Guys that late, but I do remember laughing. We got the standard Halal Guys combo plates, although my wife gets hers with only rice and no lettuce. We also got a side of fries, super crisp with a nice salty kick. All was really good and definitely works for a later evening meal.
