What Steven Schuyler dislikes about Summer Sweets:
I am not giving them a 3 stars because of their food. I have not had much of it and I am sure it is all WONDERFUL! What I am giving a 3 stars for is that at least at the time I went into the store the employees had some music playing and they had it turned up so loud that it was hard to speak or hear! The music was not bad music, but it was obviously the type of music for the employees to enjoy and it seemed as if th... View all feedback.

The music was not bad music, but it was obviously the type of music for theemployees to enjoy and it seemed as if there was no thought to how it effects the customer! The owner needs to ask themselves, What is the customer 's experience gonna be like when they walk in the door of my store? . Do I trust my employees to give mycustomers the experience I expect? Theses are the questions that ALL business owners should always ask yourself when you havestaff running your business for you!
I love the color scheme and redesign since they moved buildings. It's like going to the fair without all of the heat and long lines and sketchy rides ???? just the good food. I usually only go to get a funnel cake when I'm feeling nostalgic but this lasttime I got a hot link and it was so good! It has caramelized onion and bell peppers and the bun was delicious. Not to mentionthe cashier was super friendly, super responsive ???? and even intuited that I needed a fork when I got up to ask for one beforeI even said it.
I had the grilled vegetarian sage and yukon/apple dog on Kings Hawaiin roll with fries and MY GOD is this good comfort food. My meal was absolutely delicious! Delivery even! I also ordered strawberry mini funnel cake with cream. I can't wait to try theirsignature dish, the funnel cake! Don't sleep on this place, just order the comfort food. It's yums.
Sometimes the most spontaneous visits to certain places can be the best. And this is exactly what I experienced when visiting Endless Summer Sweets . They name all in itself sounds like either a candy shop or bakery. But it is actually neither. They aremore focused on fair/carnival type food where you could get deep-fried Oreos, deep-fried Twinkies, funnel cakes, caramel apples, and ice cream as well as hand-dipped corn dogs and grilled hot dogs. Located directly on Shattuck Ave. and tucked in betweenDurant Ave/Channing Way in the heart of Berkeley, Endless Summer Sweets (which is open year round) has been serving the EastBay community ever since 2009. As I mentioned in the previous paragraph, I came here on a whim since I didn 't want a full-onmeal and more of a snack to fill me up. I arrived at around 7:30pm on the evening of 10/16/21 and as expected, there was a longline of people waiting to get their comfort food. Which is a good sign since I knew I would be in for something good. I endedup ordering their Chicken Apple Grilled Hot Dog (for $5.00) complete with a small soda and a Mini Funnel Cake complete withpowdered sugar strawberries (for $6.00). Total time it took was a rather quick 10 minutes even though there were nonstopcustomers in here. My hot dog arrives first and I was very impressed with the toasted hot dog bun and large portions theyoffered. I completed dressing this up with mustard, mayo, ketchup, relish. As far as the funnel cake, this was very deliciousand 5-star worthy. It was so good I didn 't even take a photo of it (which is a cardinal sin for me since I ALWAYS try to snap apicture) prior to eating it. It definitely had that state fair taste to it and is something I could literally enjoy eatingyear-round. The interior of this place is fun, lively, and actually offers ample seating for families and couples. All in all, Endless Summer Sweets is an excellent above-average place that I highly recommend. The Root Beer Float was enjoyable, but the Fresh Cut Fries left much to be desired. They were dry, lightly seasoned, and lacked the crispy texture you'd expect from fries. While not awful, they didn't have the flavor or crunch of true fresh-cut fries. Overall, I’m giving three stars because the float was still tasty and the portion of fries was generous enough.
The corn dogs at Summer Sweets are absolutely mouthwatering, including the vegetarian choices! I highly recommend the combo meal, as the thick fries can be served with cheese sauce on the side for dipping, which is a nice option. But if you enjoy a messy experience, feel free to drizzle the sauce all over your fries. The Filled Churros are simply irresistible. I was worried that the caramel might be overly sweet, but it was perfectly balanced. Overall, I would rate this restaurant a fantastic 12/10.
The dishes at this restaurant are consistently fresh, served hot, and never greasy.

1 of my favorite spots, staff is awesome, the food is delicious and I love the fact that you can pick what kind of meat you want for your corn dog, chicken apple sausage corndog is my favorites, A place where you can get all the carnival food without the carnival
Food is fresh even the chips for my nachos were freshly cooked and hot. They had a variety of hot dogs. I had the veggie grilled hot dog and it was delicious. The cotton candy milk shake was not too sweet or overly tasting like cotton candy. It was perfect. I will come back soon.
What a wonderful place to visit. Had the mini bacon funnel cake and my daughter had the confetti candy one. Omg . The perfect size and the perfect dessert. The bacon is so crunchy with the whipped cream and agave syrup. Next visit, have to try the hot link corn dog
Very friendly staff! Awesome Grub!!!! This place is a “Must” if you enjoy corn dogs! Everything is made fresh and is priced right!
Great bustling little shop. Staff are great, friendly, and helpful. Everything I have tried on the menu so far has been terrific. The only complaint would sometimes be the wait. It can leave you feeling a little forgotten about. Otherwise, there is always great music playing and a fun environment. Would recommend to anybody, just know there may be a little wait.

I've been coming to this place for years. The idea of funnel cake always excites me! Unfortunately, I've only been truly impressed once.
