A cozy, small coffee shop with just three counter stools. The coffee is quite good, and they offer a nice variety of bagels and pastries. However, I would steer clear of their unusual flavored lattes like purple potato and black sesame. I had 15 minutes of parking and went in to order a chai and some food. The server forgot my chai order, as others who arrived after me received their coffees and left. I assumed the chai might take longer to prepare. After reminding them, I received my chai within 2-3 minutes, along with a $45 bill. It felt like either a bad day or a donation to the city. Pros: The staff are friendly, and it's a relaxed spot to sit, watch people, and enjoy a pastry or drink. Cons: The espresso leaves much to be desired. I've visited at least three times, and it seems the staff aren’t well-trained in pulling a good espresso shot. On my latest visit, my cortado was over-extracted and even had grounds in it. Maybe most customers prefer milk-based drinks, so the baristas don't focus on perfecting espresso shots. But if you're sourcing unique, single-origin beans with different processing methods, why not properly dial them in?
