Was Betty T at Riceful a mag?
Delicious Japanese rice sandwiches, ideal for a quick lunch or curing a hangover. My favorite is the one with spam, eggs, and shrimp cake. Their gyudon is surprisingly excellent as well. I’m not sure what they do, but the rice has an extra burst of flavor (and a rich, satisfying fattiness... although that might just be in my imagination). View all feedback.
What Silly Bunny dislikes about Riceful:
As we visited UC Berkley, we were looking for interesting food item and we found this place. We ordered Porksung Origini (porksung, bean curd, egg, spam, mayo and their house sauce). It tasted quite good. It lacked balance between protein, carb andsauce, so the taste was under flavor. It would have been better with more sauce and protein to flavor the rice. View all feedback.

Unagi Nigiri was pretty good! It's a nice snack especially if you don't want a full meal. That being said, it is a bit overpriced given what the same dollar value can get you at other restaurants in the area. As a Cal student it is very convenient to order through snack pass so I'm very happy it's an option when I'm craving it, however it is not my everyday choice.
Riceful used to be my stop almost every time I was in Berkeley to visit my cousin. They are near UC Berkeley, but more off to the side, which I prefer because it gets kind of hectic down the street where all the other food places are. Parking is either street or garage parking. Each onigiri used to be about $6, but now it is almost $10 for one and I usually like getting both the Go Cal Onigiri and the Go Bears Onigiri. I must say they are filling though, but it is on the pricier side. They also do not have the hot pressed boba toasts which were unique and pretty good.
TL:DR A unique treat, but a bit pricey! Located near the UC Berkley campus, Riceful takes the concept of a musubi and morphs it into a sandwich. In the process of doing so, they are able to add in more toppings and meat. Ordering at Riceful is easy and quick. There's a digital menu outside where you select what you want, pay, and are even given a digital countdown of when your order will be ready. I went with the soft shell crab riceful and it took about 8 min to make from when I put in my order. (I'm not sure what to call this new creation, so I'm gonna call it a rice wich. The rice wich was warm to the touch when I received it, and would continue to stay warm for the next 45 min before I could properly eat it. Despite the really long time between picking up the order and eating it, the food was really good! The soft shell crab still had a crunch to it and I could even taste the crab. Sometimes places will over batter or over cook the crab, in effect destroying any flavor of the actual crab. Riceful did a great job of cooking it! Combined with the mayo and lettuce, my soft shell crab rice wich was perfect. Even though the food was delicious, the price was not. Each rice wich ranges from $8 up to $12. It's quite expensive for the amount of food that you get. I think if the price were closer to $6 or $7 you'd find this place packed. Until then, I'll only visit this place once in a blue moon.
Food was good they should add more beef and chicken options for the people that can't eat pork . When you entered your helping yourself with a computer and to ur choosing your food selection. So I can't really tell you about customer service because the computer was my source . It's a small restaurant more like a to go food place then staying . Ambiance is located on a busy street so parking can be a hassle . Yes there's a garage across the street but more for ppl are in a rush and just to grab and go .
Riceful is one of my favorite food options in Berkeley. I love their rice sandwiches. This time, I had the unagi one $9.99), and it was delicious! I've also enjoyed the Cal sandwich fake crab meat). However, the portion size is somewhat small so I am often still hungry afterwards. Also, there is no seating area. You just order on Snackpass and take your food to-go.

Riceful is a fantastic restaurant that offers a burst of flavor with every bite. However, I do find it to be a bit on the expensive side.
Nothing special i didnt like my unagi onigiri, just bunch of ingredients put together but no chemistry. Maybe their other menu is good
This place is super delicious! If you're in Berkley, you must give it a try. I ordered the unagi and beef bulgogi, and both dishes were incredibly tasty. I'm already looking forward to trying more flavors next time. Plus, the prices are really affordable - the cheapest item is under $5!! I can definitely see myself ordering from here for catering events or parties in the future.
Very creative Japanese fusion rice ball. Business is not that busy after one in the afternoon. You can order from the kiosk from the outside store. Very tasty.

I’ve ordered from here on ubereats like 5 times already it’s so good get the golden double shrimp onigiri Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5
Just happened to pass by and see this place. I like onigiri, so thought I’d give it a try. I had the unagi onigiri. The taste was very good. A little messy as it fell apart a bit while eating. I do wish the unagi pieces were a bit bigger. I was left with half the onigiri with just spam and egg, but that was still very tasty. I’d definitely go back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I was looking for a place to get onigiri and I came across this place. It was different than I am used to getting in NYC but it was good. I am used to smaller and less expensive. I thought I was going to get a snack but I paid more and it was a meal. Very good and worth trying. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
