Organic Greens Salad More, Downtown Berkeley

Now, about the CHICKEN GUACAMOLE SANDWICH: the Dutch crunch was incredibly dry—there wasn't even a hint of moisture. And the amount of chicken was so small! It basically tasted like a bland vegetable sandwich with a spread that was barely noticeable (I could see it, but I couldn't taste it). Plus, my tomatoes were gritty. It came with a standard spring mix salad that was kind of sad, with wilted shredded carrots. Did I come in on an off day or something? I usually love plain sandwiches! I even enjoy cheap cold cut sandwiches. My expectations are pretty low, but this was still disappointing.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good this place is! We ordered two paninis (chicken pesto and prosciutto) along with two early green booster juices through Uber Eats. The paninis came with a salad that was delicious, fresh, and well-dressed. They were incredibly tasty and packed with flavor, much better than most paninis I've had around here, which tend to be bland and dry. The juice was just right—not overwhelmingly green. I will definitely be ordering from Organic Greens again!

The salads are delicious, but they consistently close much earlier than 6 PM. If you frequently close at 5 PM, why not update your official closing time? This confusion is especially frustrating on delivery apps. Google Maps shows a closing time of 6 PM, and DoorDash also lists the restaurant as open until 6 PM. You can still place orders on DoorDash after 5 PM, and they will even show that your order is being prepared! However, when you arrive, the store is already closed. It can take a long time to get a refund, and sometimes you might not receive one at all.

I probably represent this business' joy and nightmare at the same time. From time to time (one to twice a month) on the request of a large group of people, I end up ordering from Uber Eats food for up to 26 people from here for a lunch delivery. They are a hit every, single time. The food is never more than 20 30 minutes late (this is small miracle given the size of the order) and if I order ahead, it's on time or slightly early. Vegetarians, vegans, meat eaters, people who want cookies, sandwich fans they all like this place more than any other place I order lunch from. Hands down. In order to reduce the stress I cause this business, I mow try to order at least the day ahead of time (you can schedule deliveries ahead of time in the App) and try to schedule it for the 11:30 12:00 pm delivery time so that they have a chance to make all the stuff BEFORE their lunch rush and we get out of the way of their walk in business.
