What Bonita Bartell doesn't like about Claremont Lobby Lounge:
I booked a holiday tea well in advance. It was quite difficult to get the reservation. The lounge was not particularly festive for the holidays. We waited at the entrance looking for the host who was not to be found. Frankly, we weren’t sure we were in the right location; the lounge looked empty and we were one of only three tables that were present. The server was quite friendly, though couldn’t remember which teapo... View all feedback.
Nice setting, good food, fair service, ridiculously overpriced.
I brought my 4 1/2-year old granddaughter to afternoon tea with family friends. The staff was so warm, friendly and gracious to her. They took time out of their busy schedule to speak with her and treated her like a little princess! Wonderful friends scenic view and great food! What else could I ask for!
Love trying tea venues and this was a special treat on a Sunday afternoon. The view was beautiful and the tea bites delicious. There was not one tidbit we didn't like from the duck breast tea sandwich to the Jellied tea dessert square. Service was timely and friendly and we will return.
We made a reservation for high tea to this past weekend celebrate our very new engagement and were so disappointing by the lack of service and hospitality. At $65/person, we shouldn't have to get up to find water refills, ask several times for hot water refills and sugar/creamer for the tea, pull down the shades ourselves, track down the waiter to ask for the check, and then wait 20 minutes for it. I appreciate that they had good vegetarian alternatives, but this was a frustrating (and expensive! first and last visit to the Claremont. Food was fine, but for the price, you're paying for the experience and it was sorely lacking.
Tea and treats were delicious. Ambiance was perfect for conversation. Staff could be more attentive. Otherwise, would have given 5 stars overall.
