They usually have a larger menu but we went in the last day of holidays and because they had too many customers they shortened the menu, offering only quick/easy to cook...food. We were disappointed because their specialty made in the pizza oven was not available. Same for our favourite desert. We took ourselves the menus, waiters being really busy serving the others. After quite some time, we placed our orders. Afterwards other 2 waiters came, at 2 minutes time one after another, intending to take our orders : . Good part is that they brought the food VERY quickly. I had Tochitură, which was good and not expensive.

In the vicinity of Plescoi, where they make some of the most famous sausages in Romania, and since it is here, they keep the annual Plescoi Sausage Festival, and also...if we have never tasted the real thing (as ancillary eggs, whatever you buy in a supermarket and it is called Plescoi sausages... it is just a joke, and not even a good one had comprehended), of course Besides a cold NA beer (I drove) it was a really nice experience. The service was good, the waiters were friendly and very helpful, and the place in itself is beautiful. You should be here for a bite and some rest, it will be worth your time.

F... read more Such a calming atmosphere! The staff is just incredible: so reactive and most importantly proactive in their services. You can really see they love their job! Food just delicious, they even prepare take away gifts such as sausages to bring home! We also had a...beautiful fire where we had a glass of wine and just talked the night out. Strongly recommend for a retreat with your friends or family. Beautiful place for team building activities!

F... read more Second time to visit Casa Matei for lunch. The garden was inviting so chose a table by the Buzau River. There is also a playground for children in the garden. Food is traditional and tasty, especially the dumpling sour soup, and the lady serving us...was really nice. The lemonade came fast and it was refreshing.
