This restaurant was recommended to us by some folks in a town in the area. I was asking for the best steak in the area. They were not wrong. The restaurant is in a beautiful old building, beautifully decorated. Service was friendly and efficient. The menu was fairly extensive, with a combination of mainly meat and fish. You could also choose a fixed menu (with a selection of 5 6 dishes for both the first and second courses, including roast baby pig! Reasonably priced. . In our case, we kept the menu simple a mixed salad with fresh tomato, lettuce, onion, boiled egg and chunk tuna (bonito? . Extra virgin olive oil, of course. We also ordered a plate of fritos ham and cheese, breaded shrimp, croquettes. All homemade and delicious. We then had two large steaks for four persons. Absolutely delicous. Aged beef, cooked to perfection over live coals. Very red and very tender. Crusty bread was served hot. The wine list was decent and we ended up getting a few bottles of Muga 2011. Great year. For dessert, I had a bit of strong cheese to accompany the wine which had somehow survived the meal! Lots of parking nearby. Nice terrace/garden area behind the building. Great for a coffee afterwards. Signage for the restaurant could be better but the town is small. You have to climb a short stairway to get to the entrance of the restaurant. I am unsure of wheelchair access. Call first if that is a concern. The restaurant is not cheap but I thought the price quality relationship was very reasonable. We all went away content.
