I’ve had their cheese bread, seeded bread, those almond croissant, everything they bake is wonderful. But the pain au levain, their sourdough loaf is magic, there are very few things in life that compare to the leathery drumhead crust and the soft cool interior elastic tang of their San Francisco Sourdough. Combine a master baker with the worlds greatest bacteria to create what is possibly the best loaf of bread ever baked.

On our latest tri... read more Everything I've ever ordered at One House is top-notch and delicious. Including the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever bought from a bakery. On our latest trip we had the strawberry and rhubarb galette, chocolate croissant, egg breakfast sandwich, and the scone of the day with cream and jam. Their sandwiches and salads are also terrific. Nice people too. And you can't beat the location and lovely back garden patio with the flowers in bloom. Highly recommended.

The c... read more One House Bakery, located in downtown Benicia, is a must-visit if you’re in the area. I especially love their croissant egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. The croissant is buttery and savory, perfectly complemented by melted cheese and thick eggs that just melt in your mouth—absolutely delicious. The charming patio out back is beautiful, with both upstairs and downstairs seating areas. If you visit, be sure to sit outside and enjoy the peaceful outdoor atmosphere. The restroom is clean and well-maintained, and there is parking available. One thing to note: One House Bakery is closed on Mondays—everyone deserves a day off!

The overall food qua... read more One House Bakery is truly outstanding. Every bread they offer is superb, reflecting both top-notch ingredients and the skill of the bakers. The overall food quality is excellent. That said, the desserts are a little too sweet for my preference, since I usually avoid much sugar. The courtyard is delightful, and I’m looking forward to indoor dining reopening soon.
