Food is delicious, definitely taste as made. Fair prices, but the lady at the switch is my only complaint. She seemed very inconvenient, almost made me so uncomfortable that I just wanted to leave the restaurant. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Chichita:
Pasteles used to be good. Don’t know if they changed something in the recipe because they do not taste the same as before. Service could be improved. Prices are OK. I wish I could rate this 2.5 and not 3. View all feedback.
The food is great best pasteles de hoja this side of the island. Place is small they never have tables and to order take out there is no where to stand . You practically have to stand over someone eating while you order your takeout. They need to expand. Food is very good
If there was less than one star I would give it that. The pastels were horrible. If you ever had pastels outside of Dominican Republic don’t waste your money. Their pastels were made out of plantains not green bananas. They were hard as a rock. The yucca pastels were mixed with corn meal or God knows what; they were bulky and puffed up not pure yuca . I sent it back and they still charged me. I left it at that and asked to have the thing wrapped to go and figured I could give it to a street dog saw a man asking for money and gave it to him. I came back and saw that he hardly touched it. I guess we all have standards.
This place was horrible. The food arrived cold, the waitress had a very bad attitude. I was with a group and placed two tables together so we could comfortably sit next to each other. We were forced to separate the tables even though they were not blocking or obstructing the way for anyone or anything. I felt ill after eating the food which was not only cold but under cooked. STAY AWAY!!!

Dominican pasteles are their speciality. Also empanadas, croquettes and super cold cerveza Presidente. Good place to have a quick bite while traveling through the island.
