Was User at Yard Bird a mag?
We had a fantastic experience there. Our lunch was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We recommended the place to our parents, and they loved it during their visit. View all feedback.

What User dislikes about Yard Bird:
Overall a rather disappointing meal. I had the beef breeze that had no taste and was ridden with fat, quite unpleasant to eat. The associated chips were not crisp and not seasoned. A few years ago I had beautiful memories of this place with its amazing food. In the coming years, a lot has changed. I would recommend eating elsewhere. View all feedback.

The upstairs balcony offers stunning views. The atmosphere is lovely, with background music and a singer performing that night. The staff were very friendly. I forgot to take photos of the meals, but they were quite good. There is an extensive selection of craft and imported beers available.

My partner and I really enjoy dining at Yard Bird. The brisket is exceptional, and while the ribs and chicken are great, they could use a bit more sauce. The onion rings are incredible, though we found the Nantucket a bit underwhelming. The staff is fantastic; they are always eager to help, and they make the best Black Russian cocktail I’ve ever had.

I really enjoy Yard Bird. The ribs were tender and flavorful, although I wish there had been a bit more sauce. The brisket was also good. However, the sides were lacking—there was no mac and cheese, and I would have preferred mashed potatoes. The onion rings were overcooked, but the wings were a highlight: they were saucy and had a nice kick. The absence of desserts was a big disappointment. It would have been easy to just buy some brownies from a bakery, warm one up, add a scoop of ice cream, and drizzle hot fudge over it. Even McDonald's can manage that!

A good way to start or end your day is to have at least one good meal. We had ours in Yard Bird while in Bendigo. We went there especially for Chicken wings and were served with hot tasty wings dipped in spicy gravy. it was bit different from the ones I have previously had. You have to dig in the mess to get the taste. The prices and portions were good enough for two with a bucket of 12 wings and two glasses of beer. The decor was American and they also have an outdoor seating which overlooks the Alexandra fountain and the Post office across the road. Its my kind of place to enjoy a relaxed Sunday Brunch with family or friends.

My American partner and I did a day trip up to Bendigo and stumbled upon this place. I had the crab cakes and he had the beef brisket. We both throughly enjoyed our meals. It was nice to have something that we couldn't get locally. Service was good. Had great heating so you could sit outside.
