Retreat Road Takeaway - Bendigo

Love this place, we live just up the road and it's out go-to takeaway. Cannot go past their consistently delicious, ricebran deep fried fish and chips. Generous servings, and brilliant service.

We visited Retreat Rd Takeaway and got blue grenadier fish, chips, a souvlaki & hubby got a hamburger with the lot. All the food was amazing! The chips were crunchy, the fish was huge & delicious, my souvlaki was awesome & hubby said his hamburger was one of the best he had ever tasted! We have visited a number of times now & each time the food has been superb & service has been second to none! They are closed Sundays but otherwise are open Monday to Saturday. I totally recommend Retreat Rd Takeaway!

This place offers the usual takeaway fare, such as fish and chips, sandwiches and rolls, but the real reason to come is for their roast rolls, the chicken one is particularly good! This has become a regular stop of ours. The place is just a takeaway shop so has very minimal seating really just there for you while you wait but you won't be coming to dine in anyway! Come for the rolls!

The food at this restaurant is amazing. The fries are fresh and come with extra chicken salt if requested, the burgers are fresh, well-made, and very large. The owner, a lady, is very friendly and treats every customer with respect and a welcoming attitude. The waiting area is clean and tidy, with a TV to keep you entertained while waiting for your food. There is a spacious car park outside for convenience. I definitely recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

It's definitely worth braving a chilly Saturday night to enjoy a fantastic dinner at this restaurant. The hamburger, souvlaki, and chips were all delicious, but the standout was the chocolate milkshake - the best I've had in years! Don't miss out on ordering it for your dinner.
