Masons Of Bendigo

I was a bit puzzled by the decor, as it seemed like the restaurant had been thoughtfully styled, except for the tables and flooring. I would have appreciated a nicer dish for the salt and pepper, rather than using the original packaging. While it's nice to know the ingredients were high quality, the presentation could have been enhanced without the need for branding. Additionally, the table felt a bit clunky, with a drop holder for cutlery and napkins that gave it a “family restaurant franchise circa 1985” vibe. This was a wasted opportunity for much-needed space, especially when the well-presented staff could have placed the plates and utensils upon serving. The service staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu; with a bit more training, the overall experience could be even better. (For instance, if you’re taking cocktail orders, remove the wine glass. And when taking wine orders, take away the empty cocktail glass.) Overall, it was well worth the visit — our reason for driving 300 km to Bendigo. We'll definitely be back!

We had birthday party and cannot praise the food enough, can see why it is hatted, the food was amazing, and Georgia the waitress was very knowledgeable about all the courses, and service was great

Yesterday I took a friend to lunch and we had a delicious time. From my perspective,with multiple food intolerances,I know I can have a fantastic meal with no repercussions . The staff adjust meals/sauces/dressings helpfully,and list the various meal choices for me. My friend enjoyed her first experience of Mason's and we celebrated her recent surgery and return to health. Keep it happening Mason's!

The roaming menu was outstanding! The quality of the food was excellent, and the presentation was beautiful. Portions were very generous, and the chef made sure to cater to everyone's dietary needs. I highly recommend it!
