Waiters sat on the counter doing nothing no menus waited 5 minutes no one came we were the only people there walked out as we were leaving asked if we were ready to order....hardly....rubbish service never got to even try the food...avoid at all costs far better places in bendigo to eat. I've always loved going to this cafe as food was delicious, service pleasant, parking so easy (because it's a little way out of town centre) but I think it must be under new management as the food is not as tasty & the service not as welcoming as it used to be.We watched as one of the staff used her hand to retrieve ice from the machine to put into a glass to make a 'fresh' juice, she then put her finger on the end of the straw while she poured the juice into the glass!! This was then served to the unwitting customer!! I had ordered an iced coffee, and after witnessing this incident felt like leaving, but another staff member made mine with appropriate hygiene so we stayed, but it has made me reluctant to go back there!Very poor hygiene...she needs to be watched & trained properly in food handling!
We had a great time dining at the Green Olive. The food was delicious and the coffee was excellent. The staff were friendly, service was efficient, and the atmosphere was relaxing and casual. The meals were fresh, hot, and incredibly tasty. One meal was gluten-free and there were no issues with that. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at this unique restaurant and were pleasantly surprised.
We fairly regularly visit for breaky after gym, and the choice is good and always delicious. Very good coffee.

While the restaurant may be located in an industrial area and housed in a tin shed, it is a hidden gem with a cozy and inviting vibe, complete with great music to fill any quiet moments. It's always a great choice for a meal or a coffee break.
