I prefer my salad rolls made fresh and this is one of the best places in Bendigo for this option. They are great value with loads of fillings. This is a busy place at lunch time but the service is good and you don't have to wait long for your order. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Bridgewater Bakehouse bendigo:
We arrived for our reservation which the restaurant did not have. They were fully booked with functions and we needed to try 6 other places before finding somewhere for tea. View all feedback.
Definitely would recommend. Great food, lovely staff, good service too! Haven’t tried their juice bar yet
My friend and I rocked up there for a late lunch 330pm, as the front says open til 5pm and there were many people still around. Upon entry we asked for a sandwich and we were abruptly told, we are too late the sandwich Bar is shut and they can't make a sandwich. So we proceed to order pies( which were tasty) as we sat down to eat, a young server proceeded to mop the floors around us, and huffing as she went. She looked at us rolled her eyes and went to a side office to complain to another worker that she couldn't finish mopping as we were.still there. I certainly will not be in a hurry back, not a nice environment to eat in , felt like a goldfish the entire time being watched to leave.
Went to great a croissant as a little treat from here and was thoroughly disappointed. The bottom was almost crispy it was so overcooked, and the croissant itself was flat and tasted almost sour. The woman who served me was obviously new and didn't seem like she had much training before she was put onto serving people. I just wanted a croissant.
Although a little hard to find if you're not familiar with Bendigo, this bakery is a great stop for coffee or food or a bakery treat. Make the time to drop in and try it.
The lovely people behind the counter just add to the experience of purchasing goods here. The Vanilla Slice and Jelly Slice (my first) are amazing, the plain meat pie was good, but not as good as the sweets. Having read all the press about the vanilla slices, they were my first stop after entering Bendigo. It would have been one and done had I not been kept in town due to flooding, so I just had to go back and get another one each of the four days I was there. I could sincerely eat them every day of my life!
