Greg's Grill - Bend
Greg's Grill
Description
After reading mixed reviews, it seems as though Greg's restaurant in Bend has experienced a decline in both service and food quality. Customers complain about underused tables, slow service, and dishes that were overcooked, dry, or lacking flavor. On a positive note, some diners enjoyed the beet salad, clam chowder, and the service provided by their waitress. Others praised the exceptional service, views of the river, and delicious food. The menu changes and atmosphere were not appreciated by some regular customers, but others found the food to be acceptable. Overall, the consensus seems to be that Greg's has lost some of its charm and appeal.

Greg's Grill is one of my favorites. For starters, the service staff is warm and inviting. The menu has a lot of variety and the food is outstanding. I've never been disappointed. On top of that, the view of the Deschutes River is gorgeous. Try it!!! :-D
We were seated in the construction zone. Good news is that we were all alone and could talk easily. Bad news is that it was not very attractive, the table or the setting!
Changed menu was pub fare. Used to love their prime rib and other entrees. Ambiance was like a cafeteriia at ski place...too bright and not at all like the lodge feel it used to have. Too cleverness feeling. Service was mediocre with staff leaving empty used plates on table way after meal finished. Had to repeatedly ask for the plates to be cleared . Also the food servers was obnoxious with his cute comments. And the camp ware tin plates for the appetizer and salad...come on. Ridiculous! Greg's obviously wants to appeal to a different cliential than it used to. Went there all the time at the holidays and special occasions. Not special any more. The food was also disappointing. Only the salad and dessert were still good. And tell artichoke jalapeno dip...flavorless! tesalad
We chose to dine at this restaurant based on the larger menu advertised on their website, but were disappointed to find that the winter menu was actually smaller. Despite not being able to order the halibut we wanted, we settled for the halibut fish and chips. The dish was okay, but not exceptional. However, the service was excellent. Overall, we would be willing to give this restaurant another try in the future.
