We have been in this bar a few times of late for drinks and for meals. It is a pleasant little place with efficient service and friendly people. On a Sunday it is very busy and booking is advised. We have twice been and had the lamb each time and it was very nicely cooked. The puddings are good too and the prices are very reasonable. Give it a try if you fancy getting away from the beaten track. View all feedback.

The food is very nice. The staff are not! The barman seems to go out of his way to be rude, abrasive. Perhaps it amuses him? The person serving tables is polite, but so cold. So in short, if you want a nice Sunday lunch, you 're nearby, then by all means try it, but do not expect a warm welcome View all feedback.
Bar very hidden but charming. it is an English bar, but the deal is very good.
It was once again a nice meal with good friends. My husband said Jane reverses a Micheline star for this . We will be back.

Fantastic Sunday roast at a very reasonable price.
What a delicious and great value traditional Sunday lunch with all the trimmings, (choose from chicken, pork, lamb or a mixture of meats) followed by a tasty dessert (choose from apple pie, apple crumble, cherry pie or sticky toffee pudding with custard, cream or ice cream). It was very busy showing how popular it is. Well worth a repeat visit. It’s a bit tricky to find if you haven’t been there before. Great service.
