Moore's Store - Ben Wheeler

This was my second attempt at trying this restaurant. The first time, the burger was overcooked and burnt. When we brought it up, we were informed that they are cooked over an open flame, without any apologies or understanding. The second and final time, we ordered chicken strips and a burger. Once again, the burger was overcooked, burnt, and dry. The chicken strips were also overcooked and dry. The food was barely warm when it was brought to us. The service was unfriendly and we didn't bother to complain because it was clear that they didn't care. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

A group of 10 of us dined at this restaurant and we were impressed with the service. However, we were underwhelmed by the food. The $12 salad lacked any wow factor and only 2 out of the 3 catfish dishes were satisfactory. The third dish, a chicken fried steak, was so overcooked that it was inedible. It should have been sent back to the kitchen. Despite it being lunchtime and not very busy, there is no excuse for the food not to be perfect.

We recently had a gathering at Overton class and were thankful for the opportunity to catch up. It appeared that only one young man was working at the restaurant. Hopefully, he wasn't also the chef.

Great food and Bar! Usually FREE Band every Friday evening and Band with cover charge on Saturday evening. Closed Monday's and open for lunch on Sunday. Open 11am Tuesday-Sunday

Best crispy fried fish I have had in a long time. Crispy battered french fries and flavorful Cole slaw. A first class meal. Hollie was our server and she did a great job.
