After reading all the bad reviews I expected a greasy spoon dump and I was pleasantly surprised. We visited on an overcast drizzly day when there were only a few other parties, so I am sure when the place is busy the wait is longer. My husband had a delicious french onion soup and my lobster bisque was not bad. We split the fried fish entree which was one giant piece of fish— the biggest, juiciest and most delicious I have ever had. The french fries were yummy and the coleslaw fresh. We also enjoyed our Southern Tier IPA. The prices were steep but the view could not be beat. I would definitely come back.
We had a big party reservation and ended as the only ones in the restaurant for lunch (after Christmas on the day). our waitress was very friendly and helpful, even helped us make some group photos. everyone enjoyed eating, especially the rust and the fish (sandwiches). the restaurant is very beautiful inside and has a beautiful view of the lake.
