Today for the second time I was in Belvì in this restaurant. we were pleasantly impressed by the restaurant, delicious food, abundant and really assorted portio... read more Today for the second time I was in Belvì in this restaurant. we were pleasantly impressed by the restaurant, delicious food, abundant and really assorted portions. we ate various appetizers with mature cheeses, fresh ricotta with nuts, various meats, vegetables caponata, favette, snails, baked cheese, mushroom ravioli. as first hazelnut ravioli and cheese paste. assortment of Sardinian desserts and a large torrone. genuine foods that make you rediscover the scents of Sardinian tradition, in a welcoming environment that smells of home. beyond the delicious food we were pleasantly impressed by the kindness and professionalism of the owners. recommended by bikers

W... read more Last week I came across this almost hidden gem, on the way back to Cagliari. Food was gorgeous, prices more than affordable. Unbelievable quality price ratio. We enjoyed excellent starters and a relatively wide choice of mains. The desserts were actually even better, at last with sugar properly measured out, remarkable the ice cream of torrone. In the hall a lonely and smart waitress was ruling the venue, managing alone all the business, though abusing in saying “Carissimi” to everybody. We came back today and she did not let us down.

Then there was only a fixed menu for the occasion, no choice, with set plates (mostly meat) and house wine. Honestly, the food quality was really good, but the quantity per person was too much for a traveller stop. So we were forced to let the serving plates half full, and to pay a 38€ each. Asking for a take away of the left (paid) food they pretended to have no aluminium foil to do. Too bad! I hope they recycled it, at least!

We h... read more We came here for a Sunday lunch comprising typical Sardinian food and were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the food excellent. We had a large antipasti salami, cheese, and around 10 local dishes, followed by 2 pasta dishes, meat, and desert comprising local cakes some only made in Belvi. Wine, water, coffee, and liquors. In all we were there for about 3hrs. The restaurant was bussing with 2 large groups of Sardinians each celebrating a conformation this made the occasion extra special as being typical friendly Sardinians the involved us in their celebrations. All in all a restaurant to be recommended for its quality of food and service, together with the friendly atmosphere generated by the locals.
