Every year, my family and I ma... read more Looking for a GREAT seafood spot to hit after the beach? Rinse off those sandy calves, throw on a clean outfit, and come on down! Every year, my family and I make our annual pilgrimage to Mr. Shrimp after a day at the shore. I have tried other seafood restaurants at various locations at the Jersey Shore over the years. Most were good, but Mr. Shrimp is the standout, and my parents ' favorite. We return every year for the freshly prepared and VERY delicious seafood. This visit was no different, except we ordered mostly appetizers this time. We had the calamari, crab cake bites, Ipswich clams, conch fritters, and the fried shrimp sandwich. Everything was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The clams were plump, soft and flavorful, the calamari tender-crisp, and the conch fritters were even 1000% better than the ones I ate last month in the Cayman Islands, with nice chunks of conch inside. The small simple garden salad my mother ordered was colorful and GIGANTIC. The service was impeccable throughout our meal. We didn 't order dessert, entrees, or cocktails, but everything passing us by looked fantastic. This was our first time to Mr. Shrimp since they relocated to a larger building. The interior is bright, modern, spacious, and classy, with ample space between the tables. The vibe is casual/smart casual. The kind of place your Aunt Ethel would dine at with her book club. The kind of place your boss would bring his wife and mistress to (but not on the same day). The kind of place that mom takes too long to get ready for while dad paces around impatiently. Don 't feel like dining in? They do take out too!

Most of all the manager Kim was exceptional!!! She?s the best we love her and will make this place ourspot every year
