We were seated and placed our... read more I have visited this restaurant multiple times and have not always had a consistent experience, but this past weekend was terrible. We were seated and placed our order, the appetizer came out quickly followed by our entrees, which were not very hot. The biggest issue was that most entrees cost $27-34, but they were served in large portions of filler food. The carrots and broccoli were dried up and tasteless, and my side of rice was extremely dry and flavorless. There was no seasoning on anything, making it all bland. It felt like a cheap way to give the illusion of a large portion size. The amount of money spent seems to be primarily for the shrimp, which felt like a rip off. I will not be in a hurry to return.

The pricing is average, but the quality of the food is above average. I once hosted a party of 14 people here and they managed it well.

The service was a little slow and the menu wasn't as robust as I was hoping. We got a few items to try/munch on shrimp cocktail, oysters and the fried crab sandwich (not much flavor/bland). Ambiance is open welcoming... food and service, ok.

The salad featured fresh shrimp, c... read more I recently had the pleasure of enjoying the Coconut Shrimp Spring Salad at Mr. Shrimp in Belmar, and it was truly delightful. The salad featured fresh shrimp, cucumber, tomato, slices of golden delicious apple, sundried cranberries, and honey-roasted walnuts, all served on a bed of spring mix greens and drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette. It was both satisfying and packed with flavor, and the prices were very reasonable. The restaurant is conveniently located just five minutes from the beach, making it an ideal stop for a meal. Just be sure to make a reservation in advance, as it can get quite busy!
