The Black Cat - Bellingham

We had an excellent experience with both the food and the service. We wish we had made a reservation, as we would have preferred to avoid the wait on a Saturday night. However, we were lucky enough to get great seats by the window, allowing us to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the bay. The cocktails were amazing as well. We're definitely planning to return!

This charming restaurant is filled with quirky decor and is located in a stunning historical building. I visited for Sunday brunch around noon and was seated immediately at the bar. I ordered the crab cake benedict, which was absolutely delicious: the crab cakes were flavorful, the eggs were cooked to perfection, and the sauce had a rich taste with a slight spicy kick.

The building is stunning and has a rich history that I enjoyed exploring from the inside. The restaurant is situated on the third floor, and the staff is very friendly. They offer an extensive selection of drinks and beers, along with a happy hour menu from 3 to 5 PM. The air conditioning is excellent, and the themed historical rooms and decor add to the charm.

The black cat is my new favorite brunch spot! they come on Sundays to 3 for a brunch with a look and some incredible cocktails (I had the **** mary with clamato juice, just perfect)! I enjoyed the croque monsieur and my hospitable, the crab benedikt they enjoyed. the croque monsieur was fantastic, the ham was cut thick and was of excellent quality, the brot (sourdough) was tasteful and stood up to the bechamel sauce, and the egg was not too casual, absolutely mock up! the fries, among them served, were also perfectly crispy. it took a while to get our food, but to the luck my gass and I had a lot to catch up! I was at the black cat and enjoyed the fondue. I will say that the cheese was great, tasteful and in consistency, but found it strange that the brokkoli was cold and the apples were raumtemp. I'd rather be different. other than that, both experiences were delightful, great service, beautiful location, absolutely would recommend!

I can't recommend this place enough. The atmosphere is excellent. Old building with expertly curated decor. We visited twice and both time our service was nothing shy of excellent.
