We had lunch yesterday before heading to the Pickford. We took advantage of the free 4-hour on-street parking in Old Town and decided to stop by The Nut since it was conveniently located. It was only our second visit. The service was excellent, which is understandable given the lack of crowds at the time. Our food arrived very quickly. Good food, great to amazing beer(especially if you like German/pilsner/lager styles), not too crowded. Love it!
Food was delicious and filling. Great price for the size of the entree. Very friendly server. A very relaxing time to visit with friends. There were 6 of us and a few different kinds of beer were enjoyed. There were many other diners there but it wasn't so loud that we had to holler to be heard.
Brilliant beer--every award is well-deserved and the hospitality and welcome are genuine. Great place.

Great beer, the food is wonderful and the service was perfect. We tried a small taste of the Export Stout , Robust Porter, American Wheat and the Kolsch Getman Ale. I am typically a dark beer gal but ALL fabulous and we took a few Squealers to go. The only disappointment was the fact they didn't have any of the four we tried bottled in long necks or tall boys to transport home. The two sqealers went on holiday with us. I will be back.
