Banter - Bellingham
Banter
Description
Nestled in Bellingham, this eco-friendly eatery has garnered attention for its quality offerings, particularly its renowned breakfast burrito—a delightful blend of rice, hash browns, and spicy vegan sausage. Patrons rave about the delicious drinks and exceptional staff, enhancing the dining experience. However, numerous customers have encountered service hiccups, including order mix-ups, long waits, and a perplexing mask policy that caught some off guard. While the ambiance is pleasant and the focus on quality ingredients shines through, potential visitors should be prepared for a mixed bag of experiences when planning their visit.
Feedback
Delicious, friendly and clean! at times for a quick meeting with a colleague and stayed for eating. very friendly staff. great portions. no cash, only cards accepted.
We had heard great things about this restaurant, so we were surprised by our experience. After placing our order, we noticed that 6 other parties received their food before us, even though we waited over 30 minutes. A waitress was seen walking around, chatting with other customers, and admitting that she had mixed up the orders and didn't know where the food was supposed to go. When we inquired about our order, she simply ignored us and walked away. It wasn't until the 7th party was served that we asked another worker about our food. When it finally arrived, there was no communication or apology. Our bill came to $50, plus a tip that we wish we hadn't left. Overall, the lack of basic social courtesy ruined our experience. Despite the decent food and nice ambiance, we won't be returning to this restaurant. The burritos were filled mostly with rice, but the drinks were great. It seems like other parties had a better experience, but unfortunately, that was not the case for us.
This restaurant is well-lit and has extremely friendly staff! Don't miss out on the mint and matcha dessert, it pairs perfectly with their matcha soda. I wish I could have it everywhere. The mochi cake is incredibly creamy, almost like custard, and the chewy texture is just right!
The menu is limited, but the vegan breakfast burrito with an added hash brown is worth it on its own. I always make sure to get a piece of vegan banana bread to go if it's not sold out.
