This is my second time at this restaurant. Tucked back a little off the street, the building looks worn and if I had not have come the first time with friends I am certain I wouldn't have ventured in. The interior ambiance is warm, as is the service. There is a nice menu with something for everyone including a kids' menu. They have events and specials throughout the week. Monday nights there is live music, Thursdays... View all feedback.

Our service was bad but I asked about it and she said there was a big party with understaffing. YET, there was a person leaving during our time there. Not sure about that silliness. Usually the service is fine. But, the part that I need to explain is how very disgusting our seat was. We sat in the booth 2 to the right of the door. The fabric was spotted with oil and food. Usually the service is fine. But, the part that I need to explain is how very disgusting our seat was. We sat in the booth 2 to the right of the door. The fabric was spotted with oil and food. It was right on the edge of the bench where your legs would be. It was so gross. I just stopped looking except for when I reached for my purse. Ugh. My co-diner said "Next time, Chairs."
This is a fairly large, old-style British pub. It is located on a major street and offers plenty of parking. The building is a bit care-worn but that just gives the interior a more authentic pub feel. The main room is warm and charming.Service was excellent. They offer a large selection of domestic and foreign draft beers. The menu offers an assortment of burgers, some pub-style favourites. The food is where this place falls a bit short. My stuffed yorkshire pudding was perfectly edible, but the beef and the gravy were both very institutional. Portions were generous and dishes were fairly priced.I would strongly recommend this place as a spot for a pint and good conversation. The food, while passable, isn't worth a special trip.
I have eaten at this pub a few times over the past 6 years & always have the same meal. Steak & kidney pie is a hard item to find so when I found it here I had to go back. They do a really nice job with it, such a flaky pastry covering plus the fries & coleslaw that come with it are really good too. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!
Pub decor was very nice. Liver and onions with bacon was cooked beautifully. Lattice fries also great. Well worth a visit.
In my opinion the closest one can get to an authentic English Pub without actually being in England. The service was very good and the menu selection full of authentic English dishes. I had sausage rolls and my wife fish/chips. Both meals were very good; served hot and good quantity. Also, a good selection of beer. We will become regulars.
