Kelsey's has been here for 26 years. I have been there more times that I can count. From what I learnt, the franchise has been sold. The end of April (a little more that 2 months from now) will be closed. I am sad to see it go, I also hope that the new owner offers jobs to the current servers. It is the right thing to do. Good times, good laugh, lots of birthdays. Very, very sad to see it go. View all feedback.

This place is closing soon and I won't miss it at all We've eaten here many times and it seems when they found something that we would order more than once it never stayed on the menu. Very strange? View all feedback.

This restaurant is closing in the spring and Kelseys's will reopen in a new location in Belleville. I really hope the staff are ported over to the new place.I had the Under the Sea Fry-Up which is a very generous portion as it is meant to be a sharing plate, together with a small salad. They balsamic dressing is delicious btw. A had the fish and chips, again a very large portion, proper batter not a mock batter bread -type coating and the chips were excellent. Love the fact they offer malt vinegar. The prices are very reasonable too. The only, tiny, criticism is that unless I missed it, I didn't see side/appetiser salads on the menu. Having said that they were immediately offered when we asked.
Not served my beer in a timely manner when my wife was. Waited 30 min. for a burger or more it was time to leave this non busy place. Cooks were loud in the back. We got up and paid for our drinks and I was told to be quiet in a patronizing way by another waitress! This place was cold, damp and raining outside and the gas fireplace was not going to add to a miserable experience. Kelsey's has really gone down hill since being sold awhile back. Avoid it like the plague!
Haven't been in a while so decided to stop in for dinner. Restaurant was half empty but for some reason, we were waiting to be seated. While waiting, one of the employees wanted me to pay for some other guys meal...who appeared to have left without paying.Atmosphere was horrible. Room felt damp and probably moldy, and the noise was horrible. Is it acustics or my age? Couldn't hear my family speaking to me.So then the waitress arrives. Took so long we were ready with our drink and food order. I guess that was too much for her even though she wrote it down.My son ordered a burger and sweet potatoes fries. He got regular fries and the bottom bun was slimy wet. Not from a greasy burger but as if it were sitting in water. He got regular fries too instead of the sweet potatoes. Wife ordered a taco salad. She said it was good.I ordered ed the Buffalo chicken sandwich. It was overcooked and almost burnt. So we're the fries. Once my son got his fries, they too were over cooked. Not even crispy, but soaked in grease. Despite everything, my chicken taste pretty good.My son and I decided to order dessert while my wife was still eating so that we could get it when she was done. Good thing too. Who knew ice cream took so long to make. The PB and James ice cream thing was delicious and I was glad to get two spoons with it.My son had the tiny brownies that looked like timbits. They were deep fried...surprise....overcooked.Now we sit and wait for the bill despite asking for it with the dessert. After 10 minutes or so of just sitting there in the half filled noisy restaurant, we wall to the front door to get our cheque as it appeared it would not arrive on its own.As we were now waiting there at the hostess desk...we must have been there so long, she forgot we were already seated and offered to seat us again.I chuckled and said no, I would like to pay and leave. My $84 dinner bill arrived. What? I hope the waitress knows the 1%tip wasn't a type-o on my part.I will never eat at this restaurant again.
