Zydeco's Cajun Kitchen - Belle Chasse

We love this place and are masters. please don't listen to snippy people. the staff is wonderful and eating is gross.

We love Zydecos!! They have the best bolied seafood and oysters in town!

I ordered the seafood platter with soft shell crabs. The shrimp and oysters were good. However, while one of the soft shell crabs was warm, the other felt like it had been taken out of the refrigerator or reused from someone else's plate, and it was quite small. The rice portion was minimal and got lost among the seafood. Meanwhile, I noticed the jambalaya on other tables looked like a mountain. The dirty rice was buried and seemed to be insufficient. The tomatoes in the salad were simply cut in half, and overall, the plate lacked visual appeal. My daughter and son-in-law, Leonard and Melissa Jones, who frequently dine here, were also with me, along with their two young kids.

I visited Zydeco's for lunch today with my wife. When we were seated, I remarked on how nice it was to experience a new restaurant since we usually go to their competitor, Salvo's, just a mile down the road.

This is hands down the best seafood buffet I’ve ever experienced! Our waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed, but she was young and the restaurant was quite busy. Every item on the buffet was delicious, and they kept the food hot and fresh throughout our visit!
