I had heard about Bernie's being one of the top 12 burger places in the city, so we gave it a try. We were very impressed! The only downside was that the place was a bit loud due to the concrete floors not absorbing sound. But let's talk about the good stuff. The food was amazing! I ordered a cheeseburger cooked medium and it was perfect, along with the onion rings which were probably the best I've ever had. All of our burgers were cooked to perfection. The fries were delicious and plentiful, and the aioli was one of the best I've tasted. They make everything from scratch, even the ketchup and mayonnaise. You could tell just by looking at the ketchup that it wasn't store-bought. The iced tea was also tasty and strong. The service was excellent and at the end of our meal, the manager came over to chat with us and share the story of the restaurant. We will definitely be returning to Bernie's, as it has become our new favorite burger place in Houston.

The meat is coo... read more The staff here is excellent. The man who assisted us was very welcoming and took the time to explain the menu to us since it was our first time. The meat is cooked to perfection. We opted to split a burger and they served it already cut in half for us to share. The half burger with fries was very filling. The portions were generous and more than enough for the two of us. While the prices may be a bit on the higher side, I am definitely planning on returning for more.

The fries were just okay. It’s a bit pricey for a burger place. We ordered two burgers, one fountain drink, one water and shared a regular fries. After tips, We spent nearly 40 bucks on a meal for two. Our burgers were not from grass fed beef. If you wanted grass fed, it cost extra. The homemade ketchup was too sweet for my taste. Overall it was a decent experience, but it wouldn’t be my first pick for a burger place.

The burgers aren’t sloppy, they’re a great size and the flavor is next level. I ordered two burgers and lunch lady French fries. Small fries portion was big enough for 2 adults. And the milkshake was so much they gave me the extra in a cup . This place may be a little pricey, but it’s worth every penny.
