Feedback
Reviews praise The Lamppost’s friendly owners, vegan options, coffee and scones but note compact seating, limited tea choices and some worn crockery.
Fantastic spot to stop at after a lengthy stroll. The top-notch puppichino in the area with biscuits on top, and I even scored some bacon from the people at the table next to me. Perfect for a laid-back lunch with friends or a blind date - way better than chance encounters in the park. Service was top-notch and the staff were incredibly accommodating to dogs. Dexter approves!
Well we came across this absolute gem of a place . The ambience and decor was incredible. The service was warm and friendly and the food absolutely delicious . Just a 5 minute ride out of the city in a bus or cab . The place was the best we had in Antrim and we will certainly return. Just wow Chris&Donna Isle of Man
Amazing food and really helpful and nice staff. It has a great vibe, full of lots of little trinkets and the place is spotlessly clean. My favourite cafe in Belfast. My recommendation is the poached eggs, with avocado on sourdough, sprinkled with feta, walnuts and chilli flakes! Drool!
I visited The Lamppost for the first time and found it to be charming and welcoming with fantastic service and delicious food. The layout and stairs may pose a challenge for those with mobility issues, but this was not an issue for us. I also noticed that the red toilet seat indicated that the establishment is dementia friendly.

The Lamppost’s owners are hands-on and often tailor off-menu vegan specials on busy days — regulars say asking about the day’s ‘house stew’ or vegan frit can reveal a hidden favourite not always on the written menu.
