Kelly's Cellars - Belfast
Kelly's Cellars
Description
Welcome to Kelly’s Cellars, a vibrant part of Belfast's rich history since 1720. This iconic venue has retained much of its original charm, creating a laid-back atmosphere that invites you to enjoy great local produce and lively entertainment. As you settle onto a stool, immerse yourself in the sounds of some of the best musicians Ireland has to offer. Every night of the week, we bring you live music, with traditional Irish sessions from Tuesday to Thursday, showcasing talented local musicians by the warmth of the fire. Friday and Saturday nights come alive with local acts, while Sundays feature our resident bands, The Dead Handsomes and Bobby and the Breakaways. During the summer, our Garden Sessions allow you to enjoy live music outdoors, while winter sees us cozying up to traditional tunes inside. At Kelly’s, we are a bar, not a restaurant. While we serve hearty bowls of Irish stew (subject to availability), we recommend some fantastic nearby eateries if you’re looking for a full meal. Feel free to come as you are—our dress code is relaxed, but we do ask that sportswear and team colours be left at home during non-event times. We encourage you to check our Facebook Page for the latest music updates and special events. Just a reminder, we are unable to accommodate under-18s due to licensing restrictions. So gather your friends, kick back, and enjoy the rich tapestry of music and history that is Kelly’s Cellars!.

Reputedly the oldest pub in Belfast dating back to the 1700's. We got there at about 6pm on a Saturday night and it was bouncing. Managed to get a seat nr the bar and for the next hour sat there and took it all in. Lots of characters, friendly people enjoying their night out. Great pint of Guiness. Definitely a Must Visit if in the city.
We saw another traditional Irish pub on our wanderings and decided to pop in for a quick refreshment!!! A great bar with loads of atmosphere, friendly service, and well worth a visit. A really enjoyable visit.
I had a fantastic time at this lively locals bar in Belfast. It is the oldest pub in town and has a great crowd. The staff is very friendly and fun. We visited on a Sunday night and enjoyed the great band. This is definitely one of the best pubs we have visited during our 8 weeks in Ireland, both in the south and the north.
Such a good energy, the staff were bubbly and friendly. Had a live band playing and just stopped in for a few beers. Quick service considering how busy they were.
