We specifically chose it so that we could cycle both East and West along by the... read more We choose to stay here in the quaint little town of Behuard in the Loire Valley. We specifically chose it so that we could cycle both East and West along by the river over two days. We were so pleased with everything about this small but carefully thought Hotel and restaurant. Our hosts, Armell and a Charles warmly greeted us, ensured our car had a place to park in the busy village and that we could safely leave our bikes. The room was large, appeared recently decorated and well appointed including USB plugs and very nice bathroom with powerful shower. We enjoyed a very nice evening meal prepared from us by Armell and accompanied by both a local red and white, suggested by them. Breakfast included croissants, fresh fruit, eggs and yoghurt. Excellent and it set us up for another day’s cycling. On our return, even though we were not staying another night we were warmly welcomed with a cup of tea and able to use the bathroom before setting off in our car. All in all we had a very nice stay and can warmly recommend it Many thanks Armell and Charles From Michael and Melanie.

We had a carefully poached cod for dinner followed by fondant chocolate dessert, all with local white wine (Clos de Saint Yves 2019 superb). That, in iself, was a great experience! The room was modern, well appointed and comfortable. The following morning, breakfast was simple and most welcome fruit, very fresh bagutte and croissants with fruit juice and coffee. The host and hostess were engaging, intelligent and very charming. Altogether a very memorable stay thank you!

But there is the possibity to... read more I highly recommend this restaurant! Everything of the menu was outstanding and very good wines! Due to the weather we sat inside. But there is the possibity to eat outside as well. You have a wonderful view on the center of the village. It is possible to stay over the night, the host showed us their 2 rooms. We will definately come back.

It’s worth making a trip to Béhuard to eat here.
