I felt as if the top de volaille had come out of the freeze cabinet and had been beaten in the microwave.

The winding road takes you down to the waters e... read more We found this place by chance following a small sign on the side of the D20 between Peaule and Beganne villages. The winding road takes you down to the waters edge and the port of Foleux. The restaurant is the only place to eat, but...was full of locals always a good sign. The rain had eased off so we were able to eat outside and the staff made sure everything was clean, dry and ready to receive us. Booking is advisable, had it not been dry we would have been turned away as inside was packed. The menu is not extensive, but everything was freshly prepared. The burgers, both beef and fish were delicious as were the Moules the small bowl was more than enough for one . Fish and chips also very good. The staff were friendly, the scenery and setting beautiful and the prices reasonable. Accessible by boat on the River Vilaine as well as road.
