Simply Beechworth. Just across from the bakery is the cutest little providore stocked full of local produce and other delicious foodstuffs. I stopped there for lunch and shared the most delcious locally made steak and red wine pie I've ever tasted. My partner's smoked chicken toasted sandwich was equally delicious. Fresh food, but nothing spectacular. Not the best, but still one of the better eateries in Beechworth.
Good coffee. Didn't have anything to eat but the coffee was pretty good.
Tasty pies, a nice salad, and friendly service. I especially enjoyed the condiments. The ice coffee was served with the espresso shot in a jug to add yourself, which was very cool. The cafe also has a good selection if local produce and wines to purchase.
THE best cakes. The Provender serves spectacular cakes . They serve the usual suspects but also unusual cakes. They were so good that we went back 3 times for afternoon tea. IT think that I have cake withdrawals already......

Local's popped in and out the whole time to grab a coffee and we were all served with very friendly banter from the wonderful family who own the place. Of course we couldn't leave without buying some blueberry sauce from the huge array of condiments on offer and a slice of baklava from the selection of cakes and slices, both were amazing.
