Giovanni's Table - Bee Cave
Giovanni's Table
Description
At this family-run Italian spot, rustic, authentic pasta and standout starters — calamari, stuffed mushrooms and lobster ravioli — earn high praise amid a cozy, homey atmosphere and full bar. Complimentary garlic knots and bar seating add to the neighborhood charm.
Service and consistency can vary: many diners love the attentive staff and reasonable prices, but others report long waits, indifferent servers and some cold or dry mains. With plentiful parking and a casual vibe, it’s a great choice for families and groups, though expect occasional inconsistency during busy times.

We have been interested in trying this restaurant for a while now and had the chance to go tonight.and i can tell you, it was totally worth the wait! I have literally found my favorite Italian restaurant in Austin, and it is this little casual, family run place. The food was absolutely fantastic! We started with the stuffed mushrooms, which were incredible! We also had the bruschetta, which was as good as any i have had anywhere. I had the spaghetti and meatballs which was outstanding (my measure of a good italian place is always the marinaraalways). My wife had the tortellini in a vodka sauce, which she loved. My son had the “Scott’s Special” which was a shrimp and crab tortellini in a vodka sauce, which he loved! We will absolutely be going there again, very soon!
The garlic flavor in the spaghetti mushroom and garlic oil was undetectable. There was no garlic smell detected neither. The spaghetti was not soft and seemed undercooked. The mushrooms were okay. I didn’t eat much of my plate and no one came to check if the food was okay or do I need anything. Spaghetti with garlic oil is an Italian classic and I thought I wouldn’t go wrong with it but here I am. I don’t know what went wrong, maybe this dish was not cooked in the traditional way where loads of garlic cloves were cooked infused in the oil. Garlic isn’t even an expensive ingredient.
