Really great experience at the Painted Burro in Bedford tonight. Friendly staff got us set up right away, and the drinks came out in fine order. All our food was very good; the street corn had a nice twist with avocado crema, the chimichanga was perfectly done, and the table agreed it was one of the best quesos we ever had. We are local and will definitely be back highly recommended! View all feedback.

I'm struggling to review this restaurant. A few months ago, we had an incredible experience. The tortillas were delicious, the manager was very friendly, and the drinks were fantastic. However, we've visited twice since then, and the place seems to struggle with the demands of a busy night. The food was lackluster, and on Cinco de Mayo, there was only ONE person managing the large bar, which left a lot of customers frustrated with the service. Although the bartender made excellent drinks and was great once you finally got to him, I was taken aback by how understaffed they were and their inability to handle a busy evening. We might return, but we're not sure yet…
The atmosphere and drinks were fantastic, but I was disappointed by the long wait for the lukewarm food that was served. The rice had some hard, burnt bits in it. I drove 40 minutes to try this place, and I genuinely wanted to enjoy it, but my first visit will also be my last. I left a 15% tip, which I feel was generous given the experience.
Went for 2nd time. Abbreviated menu for Sunday afternoon. Enjoyed beverages, nachos, and taco selection. Enjoyable afternoon
We have been many times to the other locations. Food was great. Service was struggling. We had a 4pm res and received a call at 3:30 asking us if we could come later than planned due to a fire incident that morning. We would have been happy to if we were given more advanced notice but were already in the car when they called. When we arrived we waited an hour to be seated and kitchen to open with no acknowledgement of the wait ...I mean we could have left but decided to wait and give our business. Once seated we then struggled to get the basics like water and forks. One of the food runners actually argued with us over the number of chips baskets we asked for refills on...no consideration that we had arrived on time an hour before they served us and therefore the chips were holding everyone over. We would paid for extra chips if that was the issue; but there was no communication by the runner, just aggression over our request for chips. When I gave the manager heads up on what had happened, she shrugged it off to them being new and never made any attempt to acknowledge our wait, the chip fight or check on our table once. Definitely not headed back. This place has some very basics to work out, starting with the management.
I was so disappointed with the second time that I went to brunch there in 2 weeks. The first time it was so plentiful and tasty. Today was a disaster. Half of the food we ordered never came out. For some reason they brought all the dishes to the only male at the table. No wings no fried chicken and then they said they found a piece. The only thing I did get an egg dish was cold. French toast was ice cold. Then there was a fire alarm . When We got back chicken mysteriously gone and given no more food because setting up for supper. I left this endless brunch still hungry. Yes you get 90 minutes to eat but does a half hour fire alarm count?
