When you're traveling it's hard to know which restaurants are good but Campestre had excellent reviews. The food here is fresh and delicious and it's a very nice atmosphere if you want to dine in. We are from the West Coast, so I 'm not sure if the spices here in WV are different, but it wasn 't what I was used to. definitely more bland. But, that being said, it was good and I 'll eat there again. I wish the decor was more Mexico it was pretty straightforward modern American. The chips were fresh and very plentiful, and the salsa was good. They came with a white dip also. It was okay, but I had no idea what it was sort of a ranch taste, but different. We tried the elote first, which came in a bowl, and although good, it wasn 't quite right. I think maybe they are using sweet corn it definitely had an odd sweet taste. I was happy to see they served quesabirria. It was good but not great. It was very mild and served in a grilled flour tortilla instead of the corn I 've had before. The beef was delicious but the consomme was a bit bland. My husband had .... I can 't remember, but it was a combo plate of some sort, and he said it was great. All in all, it was a good experience.
