John's is the perfect pit stop between Madison and Green Bay. The owner, John, doubles as the bartender and makes everyone feel welcome, even strangers like us. The beer is served ice-cold and the food is delicious, with generous portions at a great price. I asked John to put on a West Coast College football game for me and he went out of his way to find it. While the decor isn't fancy, it has a cozy, family-friendly vibe that suits the small town it's located in. There's a bar area as well as a separate dining space for families with children. My father loved his Rueben sandwich, giving it five stars, and my juicy bacon cheeseburger was just as satisfying.
