Au Comptoir - Beauvais

Obviously had been a Chinese restaurant but now no longer and serving a wide range of buffet food with the option of having some items individually cooked while you wait.Service was poor when wanting drinks and obtaining a bill.Also no air conditioning - just an open door. Good choice of meat, fish and salad etc but being a buffet service, some guests and particularly children were not very good in their handling of the dishes and utensils.Also flies in the area and I noticed a dead fly in one of the dishes.I ordered a bottle of wine but was horrified by the huge mark-up which was far more than usual in French restaurants.We were the only non French diners it would appear and this restaurant seemed popular with families.Good value but hygiene mean that my wife and I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I came here to eat fast and light before a meeting(my other choice was McDonalds and the Buffalo close to it). I was surprised by the variety and quality of the proposed food in the free Buffet.you have a lot of choice for salad, they can cook meat right away, they has 3 types of sea-food and a large choice of deserts and fruits.The restaurant is big and surely it was a Chinese before!. Good to go with family, for business or alone. I recomend it
