After a fortnight in France we decided that all we wanted for dinner on our last evening was a pizza. We took the advice of the reviewers and went to this restaurant. The staff are chilled out and friendly and the place is basic but charming. The pizzas were freshly prepared in front of us and tasted superb. Would definitely visit again if we go back to Beaune. What Gérard Albert doesn't like about L'Arneis:
In one of the less fashionable streets in Beaune, this takeaway has a half dozen tables so you can eat "sur place". I am not sure I'd call in a restaurant since they really do only serve pizzas and have a choice of only 10 or so.Pizzas were good, although the base was a bit soggy for Mme's liking. Les pizzas sont délicieuses, l'accueil est chaleureux, l'équipe est très agréable ...Un grand merci aux 2 restaurants qui nous ont refoulés un samedi à 13h30 sans eux nous ne serions jamais arrivés à l'Arneis.
We did not book any resto in Beaune that Saturday evening and were about to regret it when we stumbled on a sign to La Bufala (why L'Arneis?!) just off Rue D'Alsace. Great tasting pizzas, pleasant and efficient service, friendly prices and central location. Very lucky that evening, but next time will book in advance and La Bufala is high on the list!
L'accueil est chaleureux, les pizzas sont faites à partir de vrais produits italien et sont d'ailleurs réalisées par un Italien !!! ce sont à mon gout les meilleurs de Beaune.
A mon goût ils préparent les meilleurs pizzas sur Beaune ! A consommer sur place ou à emporter , dans les deux cas on se régale pareil. L'équipe est très sympathique et les prix raisonnables.
This is really good, authentic Italian-style Pizza. We were tired and ate here in desperation and we were so happy we did. It's a humble little place and very reasonably priced. The young man who runs it and cooks is so pleasant. His told us his mother is Italian hence a good instinct for the style. We had intended to eat French cuisine that evening but had a lot of trouble trying to find somewhere, it was late season and a lot of places were closed and it was hard making a decision as Beaune is notoriously hit or miss with its dining. This pizza place is however spot on!
