Finally a restaurant where you can have non pretentious food, where sauce is complementary not necessity. And such a great variety as well.
A catchup lunch with our beautiful sister in law during our visit to Melbourne.Beau is a great restaurant in a great beachside location. The food, wine and service are outstanding!Tasty, interesting and great food with great wine. The service was attentive but not intrusive. We will definitely br going back!
Had a group dinner for 12 people and we had a wonderful time. The set menu for groups of 7 and above was really well thought out and very delicious. Dietry requirements were accommodated. Great wine list and wonderful staff really completed a fabulous evening.
Took a last minute decision with the wife to go out for breakfast. Chose BEAU as she had been there before for coffee. Nice location on beach road and attached to a recently completed apartment development. It was quiet when we arrived but this wasnt an issue. Staff welcomed us and i liked the decor, semi industrial but not over the top. I chose the yoghurt with toast and the wife had french toast. When the food arrived i was impressed by the presentation of the yoghurt, but the french toast took the honours. A wonderful display of colour perched on top of the toast. Yellows, purples and oranges and some edible flowers. So good was this that we broke cardinal rule #1 of dining and took a photo of this dish. The yoghurt was resplendent in nuts, seeds and pulses and a generous serving too. The toast came with marmalade and vegimite and to be honest i didnt really need it as i was quite full but this tasted good too. We Washed it all down with a coffee (no issues there either). Going back friday- recommended.
Visited multiple times and always been very happy. Good affordable wines and a changing menu with some nice balanced dishes. Hambock croquettes are to die for.
